OUTSTANDING REPUTATION FOR QUALITY, DELIVERY AND PERFORMANCE
CNC stands for Computer Numeric Control. These machines have milling and lathe capabilities, just as in manual applications, but are controlled by the parameters loaded into a computer file. Many industries today are turning to CNC machining as a means to speed manufacturing ability and increase repeatable accuracy. The ability to machine complex shapes, undercuts and difficult angles in a single setup reduces tooling cost and labor time, resulting in a better cost per part in addition to maintaining parts comformity throughout the run of parts.
Heat Exchanger plugsOne area of our specialized machining is the production of heat exchanger plugs. We carry a full line of 316L S.S. plugs, with a standard 3 degrees taper, in stock at all times. If your needs are not standard, give us your dimensions and we'll make the plug to fit your needs. The flexibility of our CNC (computerized numerical control) machines enables us to manufacture any quantity, any size and any grade material heat exchanger plug.Shafts Pump shafts, stub shafts or what-ever your special needs may be, up to 10" O.D. x 3' long, can be met with our CNC lathe. Manufacturing custom, one-of-a-kind and discontinued parts, with your sample or drawing is our job!Extruder Dies With the growing need in industries for extruder dies, Parkway Machine and Metalworks can meet your die needs. With over 30 years experience in this field, state-of-the-art CNC milling machines and your design, we can produce your extruder die needs. We are accustomed to working under a confidentiality clause.Conventional Machining, one of the most important material removal methods, is a collection of material-working processes in which power-driven machine tools, such as lathes, milling machines, and drill presses are used with a sharp cutting tool to mechanically cut the material to achieve the desired geometry.
Parkway Machine started as a conventional (manual) machine shop. Now, we provide both conventional and CNC machining. In fact, Parkway was the first machine shop in the Mobile, Alabama area to utilize CNC capabilities. This made our shop more efficient, productive and cost effective.
